The Hobson’s Choice advertisement that the NZ Herald refused to run. Source: Hobson’s Choice.

A fellow Substacker, Katrina Biggs, saw reason to celebrate that NZ Herald columnist Fran O’Sullivan described Britain’s Kellie-Jay Keen, aka Posie Parker, as “a pro-women activist.” https://substack.com/@aboldwoman/posts

That description is certainly a major departure from the more usual descriptions in the NZ media of Keen as an “anti-trans activist” and she is often accused of being aligned with “far-right extremists” and even of being a Nazi sympathiser.

Although there is no other evidence of it, one reason for the latter is that Keen had chosen to be interviewed by a number of right-wing media outlets at a time when none of the more centrist or left-leaning outlets would give anybody with her views any coverage.
